Tanzania coach predicts tough game against Super Eagles
Tanzania national football team coach, Charles
Nkwasa, says the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Nigeria`s Super
Eagles will be tough.
Nkwasa told sports writers after the
team`s training session at the Godswill Akpabio stadium, Uyo on Friday that
though nothing was as stake for the two teams, the match would be tough.
He said his players had prepared for
the encounter because Nigeria was blessed with talented players and that a
victory for his side would be a big boost.
“ My boys are fit enough to play the
Super Eagles. I believe the game will be very tough.
“ Although Nigeria is out of the
Nations Cup tournament and Tanzania is also out of the tournament, the match is
going to be tough because everybody want to win,” he said.
Nkwasa said his team would like to
win the Super Eagles for the first time because it would be a big boost for
them.
The coach said Nigeria was blessed
with talents at home and abroad and that he was opportuned to play against
Nigeria in the 1980 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Lagos.
“ I played against a talented
Nigerian player like the late Muda Lawal,” he said.
Team Captain and Gent FC of Belgium
player, Ally Samatta, said they would play their normal game and take their
chances.
He said though the two teams are out
of the 2017 African Cup of Nations tournament, the game would be tough.
